What is the environment like at METRO MERGE?

We have an impromptu, come-and-go environment with work-bar stations that convert into a training room, a lounge-like office and a conference room available to individuals and groups. Interchangeable rooms include stainless storyboards, and dry/erase stainless desks for creative brainstorming, trainings and gatherings.

What common causes are being addressed through METRO MERGE?

As we connect metro-wide networks with local neighbors, we will continue to join various groups through FCS Urban Ministries, and our South Atlanta Civic League, to establish a future South Atlanta Farmer’s Market, address the foreclosure crisis in South Atlanta, and explore new possibilities as a result of new relationships through Metro Merge. One key, sustainable project per year will be launched with an established leader.

One does not have to join a common cause to access office space at Metro Merge. The office is available to anyone who needs affordable space to chill out, meet people, and work.

Can a church or business join METRO MERGE?

Absolutely. Here are a few ways your group can join:

  • Fund a need: contact Nate Ledbetter at nate@sub-urban.org
  • Spread the word: Invite other leaders or neighbors to work at Metro Merge
  • Pre-pay for a bucket of hours: Work on your stuff at Metro Merge (we ask that each church or business align with our Guiding Practices)
  • Join a common cause: Volunteer as a “Vocational Neighbor” to assist us in launching various projects in South Atlanta. This requires one 30 minute Vocational Neighbor Interview to establish mutual expectations and goals.

How does METRO MERGE practically work?

Collaboration and cost cutting are both important in today’s world. This is where Metro Merge can serve a variety of people with a variety of needs. Practically speaking, Metro Merge Office is set up through pre-paid buckets of work hours. No bills or maintenance.

Simply come to work, meet people and, if you choose, dream alongside vocational neighbors during breaks, lunch or other times. Set your own hours to suit your unique schedule when the doors are open (communal desk space is first-come, first serve; offices are first come, first serve by the hour, unless reserved in advance).

Here are a few options to consider: Pre-pay for a bucket of work hours (see our pricing here)

In addition, consider these premium opportunities:

  • Host a gathering (one-time rental): Reserve our entire space for your training, project or board meeting (all three offices, foyer and kitchen).
  • Rent individual offices (beyond table space per hour): Consider our Conference Room, Creative Meeting Room, or larger training room known as “The Workshop.”

Each event price will be negotiated per request.

All reservations must be made at least two business days in advance.

During a Participant’s use of a pre-paid Bucket of Hours, each Participant may choose any of the following categories of Office Space:

  1. Communal Desk Space: available on a first come, first serve basis.
  2. Creative Meeting Office: available with at least 2 business days prior notice to Metro Merge. If un-reserved, the Creative Meeting Office shall be available on a first-come, first-serve hourly basis.
