About South Atlanta
South Atlanta is a historic urban community, a 9-block stretch of 531 homes, located one mile south of Turner Field (where University Ave, Jonesboro road and McDonough Road converge). Now undervalued, it was once a center for education where Gammon Theological Seminary and Clark Atlanta College were founded, and our desire is to participate in weaving the beautiful history of her roots with her present-day locale spiritually, socially, and economically.
Metro Merge is committed to the South Atlanta neighborhood in order to take part in the restoration of this historic community’s future. We’re about joining neighbors and leaders who have gone before us and this site is designed to catalyze energy around the vision, objectives, and resources needed to form mutual partnerships and meaningful action within the South Atlanta community.
